About this coffee

Ozolotepec, located in southern Oaxaca, is one of the most remote areas from which our partners at Osito source coffee. This isolation creates significant challenges for local producers, making it difficult to access fair prices and reliable markets for their high-quality coffee.

Due to the small scale of production in the region, coffees from multiple producers are combined to create community micro lots with volumes substantial enough to bring to market.

Isolation makes it hard for local producers to access fair prices and stable markets, so small farms combine harvests into community microlots. This sugarcane decaf makes a remarkably sweet cup, with bright, zippy acidity and comforting creamy chocolate notes.

We practice omni roasting—a philosophy kind of like finding each coffee bean's one true love in roast form!

This means every bean gets its perfect roasting match to highlight its unique quirks and flavours. Naturally decaffeinated beans, after their caffeine-free makeover, can be a bit sensitive and prone to over-roasting, so we steer clear of going too dark to keep their delightful tastes intact.
