El Indio comes from Planadas, tucked into the southern tip of Tolima where the Colombian Andes rise into high, cool mountains. Volcanic soil, fresh air and altitudes reaching 2,150 metres give this corner of Colombia everything it needs to grow exceptional coffee, and Tolima has earned its place in the Cup of Excellence year after year.
This is a natural-processed lot, which means the cherries are dried whole so the fruit sugars soak deep into the bean. Once dried, the coffee is decaffeinated using sugarcane method, a gentle process that lifts the natural sweetness while keeping the character fully intact.
In the cup, rich dark chocolate leads the way, wrapped around a tart rhubarb brightness and a burst of juicy pineapple on the finish. Sweet, fruity and full-bodied, it's a decaf with real swagger and nothing held back.
Love it 🥰
I was gifted a selection of coffee and loved them. Now re-ordering and trying the new flavours. So good to find a craft company specialising in decaf. Great choice of coffees and swift delivery.
This has to be my Favourite! When you open the bag of freshly roasted beans you get the aroma of dark chocolate. The brew tastes rich with a hint of fruity after notes. Love it!
This coffee is a natural and it tastes like one ie rich and smooth and a bit fermented. The roast level had me worried as the beans had a definate oil like sheen on them, but i need not have worried as they were perfectly roasted. That is where Craft Decaf have the specialist experience of decaf only beans, to get it just right.
This El Indio is superb. Deliciously chocolatey and smooth but with a fab fruity hit.
