This innovative coffee process begins with a 120-hour anaerobic fermentation of the coffee cherry with dehydrated passion fruit pulp. The beans are then mechanically dried in a silo for 144 hours before a 30-day stabilisation period. The coffee then undergoes our favourite EA Sugarcane decaffeination process. 

 

The caffeine extraction involves circular containers filled with a blend of water and natural ethyl acetate derived from byproducts of fermented sugarcane. And the solution allows caffeine levels to lower to 0.1%. This innovative approach results in a deliciously loud, fruity and tropical cup.

Brayan, a proud native of Acevedo, Huila, Colombia. From a young age, Brayan soaked up coffee wisdom like a sponge, thanks to his father’s after-school lessons. Little did he know, those coffee chats would ignite a fire within him. Now, alongside 60 like-minded souls (including his own family), Brayan's on a quest to share his prized coffee cherries with the world. With help from our partners at Forest Coffee and the Ancla processing facility, Brayan's beans get the royal treatment, resulting in impressive flavour profiles.

Perfectly Roasted

We practice omni roasting—a philosophy kind of like finding each coffee bean's one true love in roast form! 

This means every bean gets its perfect roasting match to highlight its unique quirks and flavours. Naturally decaffeinated beans, after their caffeine-free makeover, can be a bit sensitive and prone to over-roasting, so we steer clear of going too dark to keep their delightful tastes intact.

Love it

Deep but fresh fruity flavour, this is best decaf ive had in ages. I doubt people would guess they were drinking decaf as they can be very similar with dark roast profile. Not this one!

Changed my mind about decaf!

This is now one of my favourite coffees, decaf or not! I particularly enjoy drinking it in a cupping style – grinding quite fine (setting 16 on a Niche Zero) and steeping in hot water in a cup; it gives such fruity sweetness, I was genuinely shocked the first time I had it. Thank you for proving to me that decaf can be as good as caffeinated – I did not believe it before.

Not really had a coffee like this before! Tasty on espresso but better on french press for my tastes. Very interesting

WOW what can I say

Wow what can i say. I emailed originally asking for advice (which they were really speedy on) i ended up just going for the house variety to try a few different coffees and wow I am blown away. I don't leave a tonne of reviews but the passion fruit fermented coffee is so surprising. I've not had a coffee like this before its extremely morish and 100% the best coffee i have ever had caffeinated or decaf! I've ended up just getting that on subscription on its own.
